Drive along the “Autostrada dei Fiori”, which will offer us charming views of some typical Ligurian villages. After passing the French border we will reach the Principality of Monaco. It is one of the smallest independent states in the world, whose origins and history are inextricably linked to the Grimaldi family, for over 700 years ruling dynasty. In particular, Prince Ranieri III, who reigned from 1949 to 2005, gave a significant boost to the growth of the Principality. Thanks to the fairytale wedding with the American actress Grace Kelly, and to the numerous initiatives he supported, the Ranieri family has in fact inserted this tiny state among the most popular destinations of the international jet set, transforming it into a place where countless world events take place , some of them exquisitely beneficial.
Our visit will start from Monaco Ville, the ancient city, which is spread over a fortified fortress in a very suggestive position overlooking the sea. Here we can visit the square of the Royal Palace and watch the changing of the guard. We will then proceed in the direction of the small Cathedral, where the remains of Prince Rainier and the beloved Princess Grace, tragically disappeared in a traffic accident, are still hidden in mystery. In the late morning we will travel by bus to Montecarlo, the most famous area of the Principality, with its Casino, luxury hotels, social life and the streets where every year the famous Formula 1 Grand Prix is held. Here we will have free time for a pleasant walk and for a moment of exclusive shopping, among the boutiques of the most established brands in the world.
